SquadReady Terms of Service
By using SquadReady ("the Service"), you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service is
SquadReady is a squad readiness tracking application for small-unit leaders. It runs in your browser or as an installed web app, stores data on your device, and optionally synchronizes encrypted data between your squad's devices through our cloud infrastructure. SquadReady is a product of DmodOps LLC, a private company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official system of record of the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Army, or any government entity.
2. Acceptable use — unclassified only
The Service is for unclassified administrative information only. You agree not to enter classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), operationally sensitive details, or information that a government system of record is required for. You are solely responsible for complying with your organization's regulations regarding what information you record and where. DmodOps LLC has no ability to review what you store (it is encrypted with a key we do not have) and accepts no responsibility for user-entered content.
3. Subscriptions, trial, and billing
- Each squad receives a 14-day free trial of cloud synchronization, starting when the squad first syncs.
- After the trial, continued synchronization requires a subscription: $6.99/month or $59.99/year, billed through Stripe, our payment processor.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time, self-serve, at the billing portal (also linked inside the app under Settings → Subscription). Cancellation stops future charges and synchronization ends at the close of the paid period.
- If a subscription ends or a trial expires, you do not lose your data: it remains on your devices and the app continues to work locally. Only cloud synchronization is paused, and it resumes automatically if you resubscribe.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply at your next renewal.
- Refunds: contact hello@dmodops.com. We handle refund requests case by case and err toward fairness.
4. Your data and our access
Squad data is encrypted on your devices with keys we never receive. Consequences you accept by using the Service: we cannot read, recover, or restore your data if you lose your squad key; we cannot moderate content; and data you delete in the app is subject to the app's synchronization rules across your squad's devices. You own your data. We claim no rights to it beyond storing and transmitting the encrypted form to operate the Service.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The offline-first design means the app keeps working without connectivity, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted synchronization. Do not rely on the Service as your only record for information whose loss would be harmful — export features are provided for a reason.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DmodOps LLC's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where prohibited, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for: safeguarding your squad key and PIN; the accuracy of information you enter; who you share join links and keys with; and ensuring your use complies with applicable law and your organization's rules. You must be at least 18 to subscribe.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate service for violation of these terms, abuse of the infrastructure, or non-payment, with notice where practicable. On termination you may request deletion of your squad's encrypted data (hello@dmodops.com).
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material changes will be noted in the app or by email to subscribers. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Georgia.
